It’s been a long time since I posted on here. A long time since I posted much anywhere. Thanks to those who posted comments. I came across a blog the other day of an old forum-friend, from the early days of the Integral Naked forum. It inspired me to write this.

I’ve been reading up a lot lately on evolutionary psychology. It contains many very interesting theories into human behaviour explaining everything from sibling rivalry to grief. Spirituality to war mongering. Explaining how all of this came about through our evolution. The theories seem to point towards a lot of truth, although sometimes they seem to do so a little single mindedly forgetting that while humans like simple linear answers the truth always contains a lot more complexity. It is fascinating to see every aspect of my emotion, thinking modes and ‘spiritual’ experience explained away as simple strategies that enabled my ancestors genes to survive.

What I find most fascinating of all is how it explains all those things that I am not. It explains all those unconscious tendencies and emotional reactions that I have. It explains the mechanism of how this particular experience of what-is came to be.

What-is however remains as it always is, ever changing always the same, neither opposed to the other and all the rest as well.

Sat here witnessing my friend drink from his bottle of water after finishing his email. Noticing the whirring sound of the computer fans. The sound of my friend, now in the bathroom, pissing into the toilet bowl. Feeling my hot sweaty arm against my leg and a cooling evening air on the nape of my neck. Feelings and emotions arising and falling, some catching, others remaining unconscious. All as it is.

Regardless that all my experience is genetically contrived. Experience is.

There is much written about enlightenment and how to achieve it.
In truth there is nothing to be achieved, for you already are enlightened.
Simply notice that you are here reading these words.
Notice the computer screen, glance at your hands on the keyboard.
This is you, here and now sitting looking at this screen.

I have always been concious that I am enlightened, as I look back over the memories of my life there was never a moment when I was not aware that I was concious.
Enlightenment is not found for it is always present, right here.
As my fingers type the letters that form words as I write… I am here.
As you read these letters that form words… you are here.

I sit here in my room, listening to the wind wash past the skylight.
Wondering what words I might commit to this page.
Noticing the texture of the keys on my finger tips as I type.
A purple heart hanging from the ceiling.
Blue incense pot on the table.
Headphones resting on ‘The Transformation Game’ box.

I have just listened to my Holosync program.
It puts me into a very peaceful state of awareness.
An angel sits close by.
Here I am, in this room, sitting typing.
Here I am.
